Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard made an accusation against Democrats while speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
During her speech over the weekend, Gabbard began by suggesting Democrats “reduce each of us to the color of our skin.”
She continued, “They’re using identity politics to tear us apart. They are fomenting anti-white racism and fanning the flames of divisiveness all for their own political gain.”
Gabbard argued what is so “disturbing about this is they are proud of it.”
Noting it is not happening behind closed doors, Gabbard added, “President Biden’s press secretary, I think you probably saw the other day, she was there at the podium in the White House listing off proudly all of these statistics and quoting the quote unquote ‘diversity’ of the Biden administration.”
She pointed out the administration’s focus on gender, race and sexuality, but not the accomplishments of the individuals.
“They’re directly betraying Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream. As they racialize every issue, doing the exact opposite of what Dr. King preached. Judging us purely based on the color of our skin rather than on the content of our character. They’ve become the racists that they claim to hate,” Gabbard told the crowd.

In October 2022, Gabbard shared that she would be leaving the Democratic Party, as IJR previously reported.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers who are driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms,” Gabbard said in a post on Twitter.
Later that month, she would even go on to campaign for former Arizona Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake.
Acknowledging some may see it as odd that she endorsed Lake, Gabbard explained, “It’s only odd if you’re focused on the wrong things.”
She continued, “If you’re paying attention, you recognize that what we share in common, Kari and I and every one of you, is that pride, and it is the courage…It is clear eyes to recognize the threats to our safety, to our borders, to our communities, to our families and our kids that are coming from today’s so called woke radical Democrat Party.”
