Well, well, well… look who might’ve gotten a little too creative with his paperwork.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham just dropped a quiet little grenade on Tuesday night: Democratic darling and Russia-collusion whisperer Adam Schiff is under federal investigation—this time, not for leaking classified info or spinning conspiracy theories, but for something a little more personal… and potentially criminal.
We’re talking mortgage fraud. Yes, that Adam Schiff. The same guy who spent years lecturing Americans about “truth” and “accountability” might now be facing a DOJ probe for allegedly lying on loan documents to get a better mortgage rate. Oh, the irony writes itself.
But hold on—this isn’t some one-time whoopsie. According to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Schiff and his wife may have misrepresented their Maryland home as their “primary residence” repeatedly from 2003 to 2019. That’s sixteen years of allegedly playing musical chairs with property records, tax exemptions, and Fannie Mae-backed loans, all while Schiff was representing California in Congress. Not Maryland. California.
Wait—so was California his primary residence, or was it Maryland? Because it seems he told lenders and tax authorities two very different stories, depending on what benefited him most. Either way, he was getting perks he may not have been entitled to—including a homeowner’s tax exemption in Burbank, even as he was allegedly telling banks that he primarily lived in Maryland.
Here’s where it gets stickier.
The feds are reportedly looking into whether Schiff violated multiple criminal statutes: wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, and false statements to financial institutions. That’s not just a slap on the wrist—that’s the kind of thing that can land someone in front of a federal judge with a very serious problem on their hands.
And Schiff? He’s saying nothing. His office didn’t bother to respond to media inquiries, as if going radio silent will make this whole thing vanish. Classic move: deny, deflect, disappear.
Of course, this is the same guy who had no issue dragging the entire country through the mud during the Trump-Russia saga. He had no qualms about trotting out “anonymous sources,” secret documents, and made-for-TV outrage on a weekly basis. But when the spotlight swings back on him? Suddenly, it’s all “no comment.”
The kicker? Schiff was already caught last year trying to explain this away.
“I think just about every member of Congress has a residence in their state and a residence back in D.C.,” he told CNN in 2023. “But our principal residence, our primary residence, is in California and always has been and always will be.”
Sure, Adam. Except… the feds are now looking at documents that say otherwise. And those documents don’t lie. If he was using Maryland as his “primary” residence to get a better mortgage deal, then someone’s not telling the truth. And unlike with cable news hits, you don’t get to just wing it when it comes to loan applications. That’s called fraud.
So now, the golden boy of the resistance may have some explaining to do—to the Department of Justice, no less. You know, the same DOJ that Democrats love to weaponize against their political enemies. Strange how it feels a little different when the target is inside the club.
And just to make things even more interesting—this comes after the FHFA referred the case to the DOJ a month ago. So this isn’t speculative. This isn’t gossip. This is real, active, and moving forward.
JUST IN: Democrat Senator Adam Schiff is under criminal investigation for mortgage fraud, according to Fox News.
Schiff is accused of falsifying bank records to receive more favorable loan terms.

Ask yourself this: if it were a Republican congressman from Florida accused of falsifying mortgage docs for personal gain, would this be buried on page six? Or would it be leading every MSNBC segment for a month?
Exactly.
So while Schiff keeps ducking cameras and refusing to answer questions, just know: someone at DOJ is reviewing paperwork. Someone is asking questions. And someone might just be preparing charges.
Because in the end, you can’t spend years pretending to be the moral compass of Congress… only to allegedly commit the kind of fraud that gets normal Americans fined, audited, or thrown in jail.
But maybe this time, the swamp’s golden boy finally overplayed his hand. Stay tuned.
