Days after President Donald Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis, White House staffers are being encouraged to not go to work if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
The note sent out by White House Management by email on Sunday encourages staff to “please stay home and do not come to work until you are free of any symptoms.”
Additionally, the staffers are being encouraged to see their primary care provider “immediately” if they feel any COVID-19 symptoms, rather than going to the White House Medical Unit clinic.
See the note below:
Three days after the public learned about President Trump’s COVID-19 infection and the viruses spread through the White House and federal government, WH staff finally received an email telling them what to do if they have symptoms. @NYMag obtained the note, sent by WH Management: pic.twitter.com/GvOBe3Cm5J

The note from the White House comes days after Trump and the first lady were diagnosed with the coronavirus, which the president announced shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday.
This also comes as multiple White House staffers and senior Republicans have been infected with COVID-19, as IJR reported on. While some, who have been around the president, have said they tested negative for the virus, it can take a few days for a test to show positive after being exposed.
Among those who have tested positive recently include First Lady Melania Trump, the president’s close adviser Hope Hicks, Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel, Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, among others.
On Sunday, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign said that the former vice president tested negative for COVID-19 three times since Friday. It came days after the first presidential debate on Sept. 29 where Donald Trump and Biden repeatedly clashed.
