Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is being accused of trying to “buy” the 2024 election with his pick for vice president.
On Thursday, the hosts of ABC’s “The View” discussed Kennedy’s decision to philanthropist Nicole Shanahan to be his running mate.
And the decision to choose a wealthy running mate sparked some concern on the show.
Co-host Sunny Hostin asked, “Didn’t he just choose a billionaire vice president, who can now help him get on the ballot on different states? That’s pretty smart.”
“Well, here’s the thing,” Whoopi Goldberg chimed in. “It’s one more bad message for folks that says you can buy the election.”
Joy Behar agreed, saying, “That’s right.”

Goldberg went on, “Keep in mind what you’re hearing, you’re not supposed to be able to buy an election.”
“You’re not supposed to be able to do that, and so many things are shifting,” she added.
