Actor Will Smith has reportedly not personally apologized to Chris Rock after slapping him at the Oscars ceremony.

On Monday, a source told People magazine Smith traveled to India for spiritual purposes, to practice yoga and meditation.

One Hollywood insider said to Page Six, “Will’s ‘spiritual journey’ to India for yoga and meditation seems cynical and ridiculous, given that he hasn’t apologized personally to the one person he assaulted in front of millions.”

The insider added, “No amount of Namastes will make up for that.”

Smith apologized to Rock in an Instagram post earlier this month.

“Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” Smith wrote.

He continued, “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”

Smith explained violence “in all forms is poisonous and destructive.”

Additionally, Smith issued an apology to “the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world.”

He added, “I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.”

Earlier this month, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Smith will not be allowed to attend the Academy Awards for the next 10 years, as IJR reported.

In a letter, the academy apologized for not making efforts to “adequately address the situation in the room” after the incident.

“For this, we are sorry. This was an opportunity for us to set an example for our guests, viewers and our Academy family around the world, and we fell short — unprepared for the unprecedented,” the letter stated.
