Former President Donsld Trump returned to X, formerly Twitter, to advertise his presidential campaign.
The post, the first he’s made in almost a year, comes before Trump will be interviewed by X’s owner — Elon Musk, per The Hill.
The post is a 2 1/2-minute advertisement under the title “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The ad starts with Trump’s election in 2016 and included the subsequent legal battles he has had.
The ad has been on Trump’s other social media platforms recently.
The X post gained more than 10.9 million views, with more than 84,000 reposts and 32,000 comments in mere hours
Trump’s X account was suspended after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol.
It was reinstated the following year, but Trump only posted in that time. That was on Aug. 24, 2023, when he posted his mug shot after he surrendered in Fulton County, Ga.
Musk will interview Trump live on X at 8 p.m. Monday EDT.
The “live conversation” will be “unscripted with no limits on subject matter,” Musk posted Sunday, adding it “should be highly entertaining.”
Musk endorsed Trump in July.
