
A.J. Brown questionable to return after ankle injury in Patriots opener
Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown left his debut against the Seahawks in the third quarter with an ankle injury and was ruled questionable to return while undergoing further evaluation, after posting three catches for 26 yards and drawing a late first-half DPI. The injury immediately followed his strong start in New England, with team officials updating his status as the medical tent examined him and he headed to the locker room for further checks.

About A. J. Brown
Arthur Juan Brown is an American professional football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels, twice earning first-team All-SEC honors. Brown was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft. During his three seasons with the Titans, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, where he extended his Pro Bowl selections to three, was named to three second-team All-Pros, and was a member of the team that won Super Bowl LIX. Brown was traded to the Patriots in 2026.
