Overview

Andreas Kronthaler (born 26 January 1966) is an Austrian creative director and design partner. He is the widower of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Early life Kronthaler was born in Tyrol, Austria. In 1980, he went to Ortwein art school in Graz, Austria, where he spent five years training to be a jeweler. During this time, he began to experiment with fashion, making clothes at home to be sold to friends and in local stores. He studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and switched to fashion design.
