Biography
Angelina Mango was born on 10 April 2001 in Maratea, in the province of Potenza, Basilicata, to Laura Valente, former singer of Matia Bazar, and Giuseppe Mango, who is known by the stage name Mango. She grew up in Lagonegro, also in the province of Potenza, with her older brother Filippo Mango, born in 1995, with whom she shares a passion for music. Thanks to the family environment in which she lived since she was a child, she learned to sing, play the piano, and the guitar.
In September 2014, Mango enrolled at the liceo scientifico, suspending her studies after her father's death on 8 December 2014. In 2016, she moved to Milan with her family, where she continued her studies and where she started singing in a band with her brother as a drummer. Mango is known for having participated in the twenty-second edition of the Amici di Maria De Filippi talent contest in 2023, in which she finished second and where she won the singing category, and the Lunezia Award for musical-literary value of the song "Ci pensiamo domani".
