Anicetus foi o líder de uma revolta anti-romana malsucedida na Cólquida em 69 d.C. Ele alegou estar agindo em nome de Vitélio e destruiu uma coorte e parte da frota romana estacionada em Trapezus. A revolta foi reprimida pelos reforços romanos sob Virdius Geminus, um tenente de Vespasiano. Alcançado na foz do rio Chobus, Anicetus foi entregue aos romanos pelos habitantes locais e executado.
