Apollonia was an ancient city in northern Crete located near modern Gazi. Polybius reports an alleged incident in which the city was betrayed by Kydonia, a former ally.

Apollonia was a city of ancient Crete, near Knossos, the inhabitants of which were most treacherously treated by the Cydoniatae, who were their friends and allies.
