Artemis, nomeada em homenagem à deusa grega da caça, foi um projeto inicial de míssil ar-ar realizado pelo Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) a partir do final de 1943. O míssil era destinado a caças noturnos equipados com radar, como o Bristol Beaufighter, que rastreariam o alvo em seu radar AI Mk. IV e então o disparariam a uma distância definida, com o míssil guiando-se pelo sinal do radar AI refletido pelo alvo.
