Join the roomAuditor era um cão feral que viveu nas propriedades da Montana Resources ao redor da Berkeley Pit, uma mina de cobre a céu aberto e local Superfund em Butte, Montana. Visto pela primeira vez na mina em 1986, o cão peludo tipicamente evitava contato humano. Ele recebeu o nome "Auditor" porque aparecia quando menos esperado. Auditor parecia ser um Puli devido ao seu pelo longo e cordado que se assemelhava a dreadlocks, típico dessa raça. Funcionários da mina forneciam comida, água e abrigo para Auditor, que vagava pela mina, frequentemente desaparecendo por semanas a fio, interagindo com as pessoas o mínimo possível. Depois que ele começou a mostrar sinais de artrite, aspirina foi adicionada à sua comida. Auditor morreu em 19 de novembro de 2003, com pelo menos 17 anos de idade.
