Buysky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,248 square kilometers (1,254 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Buy. Population: 9,035 (2021 census); 11,829 (2010 census); 8,847 ; 11,737 (1989 Soviet census).
