BYD overseas shipments more than double as domestic sales slide in August
BYD reported 440,293 NEVs sold in August 2026, up about 17.8% year over year, with overseas shipments surging 134% to a record 189,466 and overseas sales making up about 43% of total. The company is relying more on international markets to offset a domestic slump, with overseas revenue surpassing China in the first half and China volumes declining, while it maintains guidance for full-year deliveries of 5 to 5.5 million.
