CIBC scores High Risk largely due to identity-based hiring and philanthropic practices along with significant political and advocacy activity that goes beyond core banking functions. The combination of high marks in discriminatory philanthropy, employment protection, advocacy bias, funding, and political actions outweighs its more moderate cancellations score, resulting in an overall high-risk designation.
