Červeňany (Hungarian: Veres) is a village and municipality in the Veľký Krtíš District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 339 metres (1,112 ft) and covers an area of 6.74 km2 (2.60 sq mi) (2025).
History
The village was first mentioned in 1345 (Verus). It belonged to Divín castle.
