The song was released as a single in August 2000 and spent five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 83. Four years later, "Cha-Cha Slide" became a hit in Europe and Australia, especially in the United Kingdom, where it topped the UK Singles Chart in March 2004.
