Cheese é o antigo aplicativo padrão de webcam para o desktop GNOME, ou seja, um aplicativo para lidar com streams UVC via Video4Linux. Foi desenvolvido como um projeto do Google Summer of Code 2007 por Daniel G. Siegel. Ele usa GStreamer para aplicar efeitos a fotos e vídeos. Pode exportar para o Flickr e está integrado ao GNOME. Foi oficialmente adicionado ao GNOME na versão 2.22, sendo eventualmente substituído pelo aplicativo Snapshot, que foi introduzido no GNOME 45.
