Chmeľovec (Hungarian: Tapolykomlós) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1251.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 368 metres (1,207 ft) and covers an area of 7.28 km2 (2.81 sq mi) (2025).
Population
It has a population of 485 people (31 December 2025).
