The municipality lies at an altitude of 379 metres (1,243 ft) and covers an area of 7.49 km2 (2.89 sq mi) (2025).

Population

It has a population of 1089 people (31 December 2025).

Ethnicity

In year 2021 was 1003 people by ethnicity 946 as Slovak, 51 as Romani, 30 as Not found out, 6 as Hungarian and 1 as Czech.
