Cogent Securities Lawsuit Filed, Lead Plaintiff Deadline Nears

Several law firms have announced or filed securities-class-action lawsuits against Cogent Communications Holdings over alleged false or misleading statements about demand for its optical wavelength backlog, covering investors who bought between February 29, 2024 and May 1, 2026, with lead-plaintiff deadlines around September 21, 2026. The actions allege the backlog was largely illusory and that management failed to disclose risks, prompting significant stock declines.
