O tanque Cromwell, oficialmente Tank, Cruiser, Mk VIII, Cromwell (A27M), foi uma das séries de tanques cruzadores empregados pela Grã-Bretanha na Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nomeado em homenagem ao líder militar da era da Guerra Civil Inglesa Oliver Cromwell, o Cromwell foi o primeiro tanque colocado em serviço pelos britânicos a combinar alta velocidade de um motor potente e confiável e blindagem razoável. A arma dual-purpose de alta velocidade pretendida não pôde ser instalada na torre, então uma arma dual-purpose de velocidade média foi instalada em seu lugar.
