About Danyang

Danyang es una ciudad a nivel de condado ubicada en la margen suroeste (derecha) del río Yangtze, y está bajo la administración de Zhenjiang, provincia de Jiangsu, China. Es conocida por la producción de lentes ópticos utilizados en gafas de sol y anteojos. Danyang tiene una superficie total de 1,059 km² (409 sq mi) y una población de aproximadamente 988,900 en 2020. Los habitantes locales de Danyang hablan un dialecto del chino wu, y la ciudad está en la frontera lingüística entre el chino wu y el mandarín Jianghuai.
