Daybreak é um filme mudo chinês de 1933, dirigido por Sun Yu. Foi lançado pela Lianhua Film Company, estreou no Peking Theater de Xangai em 2 de fevereiro de 1933. O filme segue Lingling, uma jovem garota do campo de uma vila de pescadores rural, enquanto ela se muda para Xangai com seu primo, Zhang. Enquanto Zhang se envolve em círculos revolucionários, Lingling segue um caminho infeliz. Vendida a um chefe corrupto que a intoxica e estupra por sua própria irmã, Lingling é forçada à prostituição antes de eventualmente se tornar uma mártir para a revolução iminente.
