About Dirk van Foreest

Jonkheer Dirk van Foreest fue un maestro neerlandés del ajedrez. Hermano mayor de Arnold van Foreest, ganó tres veces el Campeonato de los Países Bajos. También ocupó el quinto lugar en 1884 y el segundo lugar, detrás de Rudolf Loman, en 1888. Es el tío tatarabuelo de Jorden van Foreest, quien ganó el Campeonato de los Países Bajos en 2016.
