Join the roomEdison es un poema épico del poeta checo Vítězslav Nezval. Fue escrito en 1927. Posteriormente se incluyó en el libro poético Básně noci que se publicó en 1930. El héroe principal del poema es el inventor estadounidense Thomas Alva Edison, considerado por el autor como un genio moderno. La obra de Nezval es un elogio de la actividad humana, la tecnología y la ciencia, pero también una expresión de ansiedad sobre la civilización. Nezval compara el trabajo del inventor con la escritura de poesía. Señala que toda obra creativa requiere mucho esfuerzo y valor. Tras la muerte de Edison en 1931, Nezval escribió Signál času, que es una elegía. Ambos poemas están escritos en la misma métrica, hexámetro trocaico. Nezval utiliza largas enumeraciones, construyendo una imaginería poética sofisticada. El Edison de Nezval probablemente estuvo influenciado por la obra de Guillaume Apollinaire, especialmente el poema Zone, que fue traducido al checo por Karel Čapek.
