Gordon Johncock, the two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and 1976 series champion, has died at 90. Celebrated for his hard-charging style, he won 25 races and is especially remembered for his dramatic 1982 victory over Rick Mears after his first Indy 500 win in 1973 was overshadowed by tragedy.
