Heide Simonis foi uma autora e política alemã do Partido Social-Democrata (SPD). Ela foi ministra das finanças em Schleswig-Holstein de 1988 até 1993, quando se tornou ministra-presidente de Schleswig-Holstein. Ela foi a primeira mulher a servir como chefe de um governo estadual na história alemã e a única mulher a fazê-lo no século XX, servindo até 2005. A partir de 2025, ela é a ex-ministra-presidente que serviu por mais tempo em Schleswig-Holstein e também a ex-ministra-presidente feminina que serviu por mais tempo de todos os estados alemães.
