Hellboy II: The Golden Army is the film score to the 2008 film Hellboy II: The Golden Army directed by Guillermo del Toro based on the Dark Horse Comics character of the same name, created by Mike Mignola. Starring Ron Perlman reprising his role as the titular superhero, it is the second instalment in the Hellboy franchise and a sequel to Hellboy (2004). Danny Elfman composed the film score which was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios in London, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rick Wentworth, performing the score. Varèse Sarabande released the soundtrack on July 8, 2008.
