Heródoto fue el nombre de más de un médico en la época de la antigua Grecia y Roma:Un alumno de Ateneo, o quizás Agatino, que pertenecía a la escuela neumática. Probablemente vivió hacia finales del siglo I d.C., y vivió en Roma, donde practicó la medicina con gran éxito. Escribió algunas obras médicas, que son citadas varias veces por Galeno y Oribasio, pero de las cuales solo quedan algunos fragmentos.
