Houghton Mifflin Harcourt was rated High Risk because it scored poorly across all measured categories, including cancellations, discriminatory philanthropy, employment protection, advocacy bias, funding, and political actions. The profile indicates the company prioritizes identity-based and partisan initiatives over merit-based practices and core business objectives, which the report views as undermining free speech, free enterprise, and shareholder interests.
