The Jizera Dark Sky Park is the first transnational dark-sky preserve. It is located in a nearly-uninhabited region of the Jizera Mountains that lies halfway between Poland and the Czech Republic. The park primarily serves to inform the general public about the issue of light pollution, as well as to protect nature and the environment.
