James Dickson (19 April 1859 – 8 August 1941) was an Irish Liberal Party politician in the era of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for the borough of Dungannon from 1880 to 1885. Aged just 21 when elected, he was one of the youngest people elected to the House of Commons since the Reform Act 1832. Early life Dickson was born in Dungannon on 19 April 1859 and educated at the Royal School there. His sister was Emily Winifred Dickson, the first woman to be elected to a college of surgeons in either Great Britain or Ireland. Parliamentary career
