Maryland hands UConn first Candle-era loss, 38-14

Maryland’s up-tempo offense overwhelmed UConn, driving four long scoring drives and handing the Huskies a 38-14 defeat as Malik Washington threw for 347 yards and extended an 18‑completion stretch, while Maryland’s defense limited UConn’s attack and kept Kalieb Osborne largely in check. UConn never reached Maryland’s red zone, and the Terrapins capitalized with multiple red-zone scores and a balanced attack.
