Join the roomJohn Exshaw was an Irish bookseller, printer, civic official and Volunteer commander who served twice as Lord Mayor of Dublin, from 1789 to 1790 and again from February to October 1800. He also served as sheriff, alderman and divisional justice of police in Dublin. During the disturbances of 1797–1798, Exshaw commanded the Stephen's Green Yeomanry and served as adjutant-general of the yeomanry forces in the Dublin district.
