John Fuller, mais conhecido como "Mad Jack" Fuller, foi senhorio da aldeia de Brightling, em Sussex, e um político que foi membro da Câmara dos Comuns entre 1780 e 1812. Ele foi um construtor de extravagâncias, filantropo, patrono das artes e ciências, e proprietário de escravos e defensor da escravidão. Ele comprou e encomendou muitas pinturas de J. M. W. Turner. Ele foi patrocinador e mentor de Michael Faraday.
