Someone who loves you won’t bear a moment of your absence; they’ll make up a thousand excuses to talk to you. So don’t trust someone who disappears and then comes back with a flimsy excuse.”
“In love, no one can harm anyone else; we are each of us responsible for our own feelings and cannot blame someone else for what we feel. It hurt when I lost each of the various men I fell in love with. Now, though, I am convinced that no one loses anyone, because no one owns anyone. “He loved her so passionately he wanted her to be one soul and one body with him; and he was conscious that here, with those deep roots attaching her to the native life, she would always keep something from him.”

“Farewell, Love, and all thy laws for ever.”
