Join the roomMagnet fue una banda formada con el propósito de grabar la banda sonora de la película de 1973 The Wicker Man. La banda fue reunida por el músico Gary Carpenter (el director musical asociado de la película) para interpretar canciones compuestas por el compositor neoyorquino Paul Giovanni. Originalmente bajo el nombre Lodestone, luego cambiado a "Magnet" debido a un conflicto con otra banda, el grupo incluía a Peter Brewis (flautas dulces, arpa de boca, armónica, bajo, etc.), Michael Cole (concertina, armónica, fagot), Andrew Tompkins (guitarras), Ian Cutler (violín), Bernard Murray (percusión) y finalmente al propio Carpenter (piano, flautas dulces, flautín, ocarina, lira nórdica, etc.).
