Resumen
Mark Turner (born 1954) es un científico cognitivo, lingüista y autor. Es Institute Professor y profesor de Ciencia Cognitiva en la Case Western Reserve University. Ha ganado un Anneliese Maier Research Prize de la Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2015) y un Grand Prix (Prix du Rayonnement de la langue et de la littérature françaises) de la French Academy (1996) por su trabajo en estos campos. Turner y Gilles Fauconnier fundaron la teoría de conceptual blending, presentada en libros de texto y enciclopedias. Turner también es el director de la Cognitive Science Network (CSN) y codirector del Distributed Little Red Hen Lab.
Su esposa es la escritora Megan Whalen Turner.
