The Council of Indonesian Muslim Associations, better known as the Masyumi Party or simply Masyumi, was a major Islamic political party in Indonesia during the Liberal Democracy period of the 1950s. In 1960, the Masyumi was banned by President Sukarno for supporting the Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PRRI) rebellion.
