Matthew V. Flinders (nascido em 1972) é um acadêmico e cientista político britânico. De julho de 2014 até abril de 2017 ele foi Presidente do Comitê Executivo de Curadores da Political Studies Association.
Flinders fez sua graduação na Loughborough University antes de concluir seu doutorado em políticas públicas e governança na University of Sheffield. Ele leciona no curso de graduação em política da University of Sheffield e escreveu vários livros acadêmicos. Sua principal área de especialização é a governança britânica. Obteve uma cátedra departamental em 2009 e é vice-chefe do departamento. É também Professor Fundador do Sir Bernard Crick Centre.
O livro de Flinders Delegated Governance and the British State: Walking without Order ganhou o Prêmio W. J. M. Mackenzie de 2009, concedido pela Political Studies Association ao melhor livro publicado em 2008.
