About Michael Carrick
Michael Carrick is an English professional football coach and former player who is the head coach of Premier League club Manchester United. He is best known for his 12-year playing career with Manchester United, which he also captained in his final season there. Carrick was a midfielder who primarily played in a deep-lying role, but he was also used as an emergency centre-back under Alex Ferguson, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and José Mourinho. His playing style was grounded in his passing ability.
