Moldova, oficialmente la República de Moldova, es un país sin litoral en Europa del Este, con un área de 33,843 km2 (13,067 sq mi) y una población de 2.38 millones. Moldova limita con Rumania al oeste y con Ucrania al norte, este y sur. El estado separatista no reconocido de Transnistria se encuentra al otro lado del río Dniester en la frontera oriental del país con Ucrania.
