Moses es un apellido derivado del Biblical Moses. Puede ser de origen judío, galés o inglés. La forma hebrea del nombre, Moshe, probablemente es de origen egipcio, de una forma corta de cualquiera de varios nombres personales egipcios antiguos, como Ramesses y Tutmose, que significa "concebido por ".
