Nalakuvara often appears as a sexual trickster figure in Hindu and Buddhist literature. Names Various Sanskrit and Prakrit texts offer the name "Nalakuvara", "Nalakūvala", "Mayuraja", "Narakuvera", and "Naṭakuvera" to describe the son of Kubera.
