Patrick Joseph Murphy é um político americano que serviu como Representante Estadual de Iowa pelo 99º Distrito e Presidente da Câmara dos Representantes de Iowa; Murphy também foi o candidato democrata pelo 1º distrito congressional de Iowa em 2014. Ele também serviu anteriormente como Líder da Minoria de 2003 a 2007. Murphy é um democrata e serviu na Câmara de Iowa após vencer uma eleição especial em 1989. Ele recebeu seu BA do Loras College.
