Patrick Salmon (nacido en 1952) es un historiador de historia diplomática con enfoque en Escandinavia.
Es historiador jefe en la Foreign and Commonwealth Office y profesor visitante en la Newcastle University. En 2001, fue becario en el Norwegian Nobel Institute. Es miembro de la Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
