
Plato é uma cratera de impacto lunar preenchida por lava na Lua. Seu diâmetro é de 101 km (63 mi). Foi nomeada em homenagem ao filósofo grego antigo Platão. Está localizada na margem nordeste do Mare Imbrium, na extremidade ocidental da cordilheira Montes Alpes. No mare ao sul há várias elevações coletivamente chamadas Montes Teneriffe. Ao norte fica a ampla extensão do Mare Frigoris. A leste da cratera, entre os Montes Alpes, há várias rilles coletivamente chamadas Rimae Plato.
