Prophecy es una película estadounidense de ciencia ficción, monstruos, terror y suspenso de 1979 dirigida por John Frankenheimer y escrita por David Seltzer. Protagonizada por Robert Foxworth, Talia Shire y Armand Assante. Ambientada a lo largo del río Androscoggin u Ossipee, la película sigue a un agente ambiental, el Dr. Robert Verne, y a su esposa Maggie, quienes presentan un informe sobre una fábrica de papel en el río, sin saber que los desechos de la fábrica han contaminado el río, causando mutaciones tanto en humanos como en animales. Uno de estos animales, un oso local, causa estragos en la naturaleza.
